Played the Hullabaloo Festival with my good buddy Matt Andersen in his hometown of Perth Andover,  NB. An incredible festival and they usually have chocolate covered bacon I have to say the best part was Matt's moms cooking I ate my weight in sticky buns and peanut butter balls.

I was a special guest with the Overtime Improv choir in Fredericton, NB  at the Gallery Connection. This is a large improvisational choir directed with hand signals. Think massive human theramin directed by one of my favorite musician composers Joel Leblanc.

Was out on the Bay of Fundy with a 3rd generation  boatbuilder/fisherman on a 14ft boat he built. It was amazing. I sure hope I can remember the stories. Thanks John

Had a nice day of studio work in Sussex, NB with Gary Morris. Partial payment for the session work was a lobster dinner and about a square foot of homemade blueberry cobbler.

Spent a great couple of days with Canadian fiddle legend Ivan Hicks at his home in NB. Ivan showed me some very cool new fiddle tunes to work on. Thanks Ivan and Vivian

Had a blast tonight in concert at the Fairbanks, Alaska  performing arts centre.  I sat in on traditional music from Ghana with master drummer Okaidja Afroso. Then we combined Bluegrass with African drumming in a reworked version of Foggy Mountain Breakdown. Now called Milking the Goat 1 and 2. The next night, we put together a band consisting of a great Irish fiddler, a guitar player that does arrangements for YoYo Ma  and a wickedly good drummer from Ghana. Oh Ya and they serve Reindeer Pizza pockets.

I sat in with the legend Jerry Jeff Walker tonight in Canso NS. When JJ sang Mr. Bo Jangles he gave me a long solo and came over and danced beside me. I'll never forget it.

Played a concert in St Andrews NB tonight and stayed at the infamous Salty Towers owned by a great friend Jamie Steele. 3000 motorcycles were in town. While we were soundchecking  a chopper drove right through the hallway in front of the theatre. It picked up over the PA and almost blew out the system. I love it.

Played on Breakfast TV this morning in Halifax. Thanks Wendy

Looking out my window in Halifax and the Queens motorcade went by 27 vehicles. I went down to the venue to soundcheck and ran into a couple of friends who were actually playing for the Queen that day. The next day they were playing a Urology convention.

So proud to be playing the Alianait Festival in Iqaluit, Nunavut. -24hrs of daylight,  throat singers, drum dancers, pack ice, caribou stew and Arctic Char. I feel so honoured to be in Iqaluit sharing the stage with these amazing musicians on National Aboriginal Day. So much to learn.

Had a blast today helping score an animated TV series.
