Excerpt from The Observer (Sarnia), written by Paul Morden
A group of Sarnia musicians and photographers have been physically distancing their way through a music video shoot for Mike Steven’s upcoming album.
The harmonica master has played the Grand Ole Opry and stages around the world, but Stevens looked closer to home for his latest musical project.
Recorded before the pandemic hit, the 13th album by the respected musician is expected to be released on the label Borealis Records, when the right moment arrives in a music world hit hard by COVID-19.
In the meantime, Richard Beland, a veteran music photographer and head of the digital photography program at Lambton College, is leading a group of students in a volunteer community project to create a video for one of the album’s tracks, Livin’ in Sarnia.
